The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, a leading philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting creative individuals and institutions that work towards a more just and peaceful world, is pleased to announce a grant awarded to nonprofit LGBT+ VC for its upcoming Prosperity Summit, an LGBTQ and ally venture capital conference, in June 2024.
The MacArthur Foundation firmly believes in the power of diverse perspectives to drive positive change. As part of their ongoing commitment to advancing social progress, the Foundation awarded support to LGBT+ VC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering economic and wealth-building opportunities for LGBTQ+ community.
The Prosperity VC Summit, organized by LGBT+ VC, is the world’s leading LGBTQ and ally investment conference that aims to create a critical space for the underserved community. The summit will provide unique opportunities to catalyze capital and conversations for LGBTQ progress.
The grant awarded by the MacArthur Foundation will enable LGBT+ VC to expand the scope and reach of the Prosperity VC Summit, making it accessible. The funds will be utilized to enhance the summit's programming, attract renowned speakers, and facilitate the participation of diverse students, entrepreneurs, and investors.

The support from the foundation will help us bring together influential leaders and create tangible opportunities for LGBTQ+ people to succeed. This is just the beginning, and we cannot wait for next year’s renewal.”
