LGBT+ VC is the first 501(c)(3) nonprofit addressing the LGBTQ investment and wealth gap. LGBT+ VC debuted during Women’s History Month to advance the education, inclusion, and participation of LGBTQ people, especially women, girls, and gender-expansive youth. This work bridges communities from Stonewall to Silicon Valley.
To do that, LGBT+ VC provides access to networks, programs, and information, helping LGBTQ individuals become new investors. Our immediate work is to promote more equitable LGBTQ representation, particularly in leadership and investment positions.
To-date, we have successfully educated, trained, and convened more than 3,300 new and active LGBTQ and ally investors. Our broader vision is to drive progress towards parity and foster intergenerational wealth for all.

LGBT+ VC’s work is solving the root causes of the LGBTQ wealth gap. LGBTQ people confront systemic discrimination and economic disparities that make it nearly impossible to achieve economic freedom. LGBTQ people need fair treatment, equal opportunities, and investment in their innovation.
Our vision to help all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people prosper.
Today, a fraction of the funds are deployed to diverse LGBTQIA+ innovators, basically a penny for every $100. The innovation economy needs more LGBTQ and allies to increase community investment.
In 2023, LGBT+ VC authored the Plan for Prosperity, a strategic plan to help the nonprofit reach its goal of equipping over 10,000 LGBTQ+ people and allies with wealth-building and investment education within the next decade.
